Land clearing is the removal of trees, brush, stumps and debris to turn unusable ground into ground you can do something with. It ranges from taking a quarter-acre back yard back from twenty years of neglect to opening a building site and access road on raw acreage.
We clear residential lots, wooded acreage, fence lines, right-of-ways and retention areas across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. Everything that comes down is either mulched on site or hauled away in our own trucks, and the ground is left graded rather than churned.

Walk it with you
We agree exactly what goes and what stays. Specimen trees, property markers and anything you want protected get flagged before work starts.

Clear in stages
Undergrowth and saplings first, then larger material. Working in stages keeps the site controlled and lets you see the shape of the land as it emerges.

Stumps and roots
Stumps come out or get ground down depending on what the ground will be used for. Leaving stumps in ground you intend to build on causes settlement later.

Mulch or haul
Material is mulched on site and spread as erosion cover, or loaded out in our dump truck. Mulching on site is usually cheaper and better for the soil.

Grade and stabilise
The cleared ground is graded smooth and seeded or covered so the first heavy rain does not wash your new lot down the hill.

Vegetation density, tree size, slope and how much material has to leave the site are the main drivers.

North Georgia grows back fast. Clearing without a plan for the exposed soil means erosion within one season, which is why we grade and stabilise rather than walking away from bare dirt. Slopes over about 20 degrees also add significantly to cost and are worth knowing about before you budget.
