Erosion is water moving faster than the ground can resist. Controlling it means slowing the water, giving it a defined path, and covering bare soil before it can move.
We install erosion control on residential slopes and construction sites across metro Atlanta — silt fence, erosion matting, swales, riprap, check dams, regrading and permanent vegetative cover.
Do you need this?
If any of these sound like your property, this is the service:
- Gullies and rills are forming across a slope
- Soil washes onto the driveway, patio or road after rain
- Tree roots and foundations are becoming exposed
- Mulch and topsoil disappear every heavy rain
- A construction site needs controls to satisfy the county
How the job runs
- 1
Work out where the water comes from
Erosion is a symptom. The fix is usually upslope of the damage, which is why patching the gully alone never holds.
- 2
Slow it and direct it
Swales, berms, check dams and diversions to reduce velocity and give water a path you chose rather than one it chose.
- 3
Stabilise the surface
Regrade to a stable angle, then cover — matting, riprap or seed and straw depending on slope and flow.
- 4
Establish permanent cover
Vegetation is the long-term answer. Everything else buys time for roots to take hold.
What affects your price
Driven by slope length and steepness, how much regrading is needed, and whether the fix is temporary construction-phase control or permanent stabilisation. Small residential slopes are often a day of work.
We quote after seeing the site, and the price we give you is fixed and in writing. Estimates are free and there is no obligation.

Georgia has taken this seriously since the Erosion and Sedimentation Control Act. Any land-disturbing activity in the state requires certified personnel, and most metro counties inspect construction sites for silt fence, stabilised entrances and ground cover. Beyond compliance, 50 inches of annual rain on clay slopes makes erosion a genuine and constant threat to property here.
